Back in the 14th century, armor was crafted with a holistic approach to arm coverage. Emphasis was placed on defending key joints like the elbows and shoulders. This type of joint protection usually included rigid components, such as these bracers, that could be used along with arms and gauntlets for full protection. These bracers protect the forearm and are easily attached with leather straps.
